Why am I taking Social Media Marketing Class?

Question A : Explains why you are taking this class.

I will graduate this year and my business school in France offers a digital business/marketing master. I will choose this one. I discovered recently that the business strategy of the social media, especially the data part and the targeted advertising. I'm really curious about it. I also think that social media are nowadays more important than TV for the 18-24 years old people. I think it is a very valuable skill to work in an SME or startup because is it a cheap way to reach a specific targeted audience.

Question B: Discusses what you hope to get out of it?

I would like to learn how to run an efficient advertising campaign on any social media, and how to manage a professional page, included the customer service part and also analyze how the prospect/followers respond to my future actions. To budget efficiently the amount of money needed for social media marketing. I would like to establish a strategic marketing plan for social media.

Question C: How you plan to apply what you learn in this class.

I will find an internship in this field this summer. I also apply this to my own social media account to practice.

Hey everybody here are my blog stats. I had 133 views last mounth. I had 2 followers (to bad). The main traffic sources are Facebook and E.Learn UCR extension Most of my traffic comes from the U.S followed by Germany (I don't know why) France, I had some visitors from Japan, Poland, UK, Peru, Russia and Phillipines! Why is it important to market yourself ?

Q1: Discuss why it is important to market yourself? Job hunting is filling your future employer needs. Looking for a job is basically selling yourself to your potential employers. Like any customers your future employer has needs. It needs for hard skills (technical skills), soft skills (ability to present something, to lead a team...). But you also need to fit with the culture of the company. To sell get a job, you have to consider yourself as a BtoB service individual entrepreneur, and like any entrepreneur, you have to do marketing in order to sell your service.
